WELCOME TO LA CAÑADA

La Cañada Flintridge is bordered by Pasadena to the east, Glendale to the south and the communities of Montrose and La Crescenta to the west. The San Gabriel Mountains form a natural boundary to the north. The altitude ranges from 1,200 feet on the southwest side of town, to 2,100 feet on the north side. For most of the year, temperatures are slightly warmer than downtown Los Angeles during the day and slightly cooler at night.

We have a unique 23-mile trail system where you can circumnavigate the City on horseback or walking. The development of our beautiful trails began in 1974; in 2011 the final link was dedicated.

The City’s main street, once an interstate highway, has transformed Foothill Boulevard into a quaint neighborhood shopping area. La Cañada Flintridge always has been known for its strong sense of community and civic pride. We also have one of the lowest crime rates in the County. Public safety is provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The L.A. County Fire Department maintains two stations, #19 West and #82 East, for fire protection.

La Cañada Flintridge has a golf course, a library, YMCA, the world renowned Descanso Gardens, an active Chamber, City Hall and the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge.
